Hey folks,
Seeing as the board is a little slow, I've decided to advance plans for my new series Teeny Tiny Tales, although they could be pretty sporadic in their release. My main thought behind doing this series was to present a story - usually in it's entirety - that didn't take 6 months to come out! :) I've only got one main rule, that all my chapters of the series will be under 3 pages long, hopefully the stories will feature some old and new Parodyverse characters, so look out! After all that, here it is, the first chapter, intitled -
...and finally.
Reporter - "And finally on Parodiopolis Today, we take a look at the annual Lair Legion Look-alike ball, now in it's third year, at the scene is Kitty Newmire, Kitty?"
Kitty - "Hi John. Yes we're at Parodiopolis Town Hall today for the Annual Lair Legion look-alike ball, where citizens from our fair city gather to celebrate their uncanny resemblance to our Heroes. I have with me Emile Gzarski, who established the event 3 years ago - Emile, what gave you the idea to start this whole thing?"
Emile - "The 'Z' is silent, Kitty."
Kitty - "(laughing) Sorry, Emile...Garski?"
Emile - "That's ok. Well it all started, as you say, 3 years ago...I was walking to the pharmacy to buy some blister pads after I'd burnt my forearm cooking some Duck ala Garski, our family speciality - when I spotted a guy who looked just like that little fella with the plants that grows out of his back..."
Kitty - "spiffy?"
Emile - "That's him. Well, I thought to myself, isn't that just strange? A kid that looks just like that little fella, even with the plants growin' outta his back - And then, I realised it WAS that little fella in the Lair Legion! But that didn't stop me from writing to Cheryl -"
Kitty - "The Lair Legion's publicist-"
Emile - "That's her. Lovely lady, odd choice in men. But she helped me set all this up, and members just flooded in."
Kitty - "I guess people just want to feel like superhero's for a day."
Emile - "Plus they wear some great outfits!"
Kitty - "What actually goes on here?"
Emile - "Well, we have the actual look-alike competition, in 3 age ranges - 11 to 20, 21 to 40 and 41 plus...We have bake sales, pie eating competitions, we even have a mock battle with the Scourge look-alikes! (laughs) But at the end of the night, all animosity is forgotten for the ball itself."
Kitty - "Well, it sounds great...And look here! Ladies and gentlemen 2 super-heroes have arrived at the ball - NTU-150 and Donar!...Oh no! They're look-alikes! Wow! You guys are really good! (laughs) What are you're real names?"
Donar - "Mike."
NTU-150 - "Uh, Phil."
Kitty - "Phil, that's some costume you've got there!"
NTU-150 - "Thanks, I made it from used soup cans."
Kitty - "That's a lot of soup!"
Phil - "It was Kitty, it was."
Kitty - "Mike, what made you become a Lair Legion look-alike?"
Mike - "Well, Kittyeth. I art actually a professional Donar look-aliketh. When he can'teth make personal appearances, they hireth me. I guess you could sayeth I'm the Deputy God of Thunder! (laughs)."
Kitty - "Or the God of supermarket openings....(laugh) One more question guys - I know this is a great occasion, but what would make it really special?"
Mike & Phil - "More Lisa look-alikes! (laughs)"
Kitty - "You guys are too much! Well, that's all we have time for today - I'm Kitty Newmire reporting from Parodiopolis Town Hall, back to you John."
